Gian, “Mr. G”, was born in Torrance, California, and spent parts of his childhood living in both California and Mexico before eventually settling in Arizona. Being bilingual in English and Spanish has given him the opportunity to connect with children and families from diverse backgrounds. He is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn and grow.

Mr. G has always enjoyed working with youth and believes the preschool years are one of the most important stages in a child’s development. He loves helping children build confidence, develop positive relationships, and discover the joy of learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. His goal is to create a nurturing and engaging classroom where every child feels supported, celebrated, and excited to come to school each day.

Before joining New Covenant, Mr. G spent several years working with youth and families through Gridiron Football. During that time, he had the opportunity to mentor young athletes, encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship, and build positive relationships with children and parents in the community. Those experiences strengthened his passion for investing in young people and continue to shape the caring, patient, and encouraging approach he brings to the classroom.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. G enjoys spending time with family and friends, building LEGO sets, exploring new places, and learning about technology. He is grateful to be part of the New Covenant family and looks forward to partnering with families to help each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while creating lasting memories along the way.
