Mr. Alex, his wife, Annie, and their two children, Francis and Juniper, have been a part of the New Covenant family now for 6 Years. They have been in ministry together for nearly ten years and have been serving in Lutheran settings for that time while also serving in other parts/denominations of the Body of Christ. The Duartes believe wholeheartedly that following Jesus is the greatest adventure of a person’s life! And God has called each and every believer to not only dive deep into their discipleship and grow deeper with Jesus. Each Christian has been called to be useful and not comfortable.

After graduating from Concordia University Portland, they served a Lutheran church in Sydney, Australia until returning to the States in 2021. The Duartes are passionate about worship music, discipleship, and seeing the next generation of believers grow vibrant relationships with Jesus. Alex and Annie are not afraid of walking alongside people in every season of life, whether it be messy, heartbreaking, joyful, or somewhere in between.

Alex and Annie are excited to meet you, and they pray that New Covenant would become your house of worship where you experience freedom, clarity through God’s Word, and deep rooted healing in your innermost being through the love and presence of Jesus Christ and the community of New Covenant Church and Preschool.
