Welcome To New Covenant Lutheran

Preschool & Kindergarten

Our Mission

To provide an environment in which children succeed and gain self-confidence. Where our children develop not just physically and intellectually, but also socially, emotionally and spiritually by filling your child’s day with learning, fun, friendship, and God’s love.

We offer early education for children 18-30 months (with parent/caregiver), and children 2.5 (and potty-trained) through Kindergarten. We are open from 7:00am – 6:00pm Monday through Friday. We operate a closed campus, which means that any individual who enters must have an individually assigned

entry key card. We generally maintain a total enrollment of between 90-120 students, depending on varying schedules. New Covenant’s teaching team is comprised of 19 teachers, with individual teaching experience ranging from 5-25 years.

The School Director keeps a pulse on all the interworking’s of the school and spends much of her time in the classrooms, getting to know your children. She wants to be there for you, through your early childhood educational experience. She wants to hug your babies and she wants to support you and your needs during your time at New Covenant and beyond!

We would like to thank you for considering the New Covenant Lutheran School for your child. Please explore our website and do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. We invite you to tour our school, observe our enrichment classes or meet with any of our teachers. Our children’s early education is one of the most important decisions we can make, and we are honored that you have considered entrusting us with your child.

Class Environment and Curriculum

All classes are led by 2 highly-qualified, loving teachers. The classes are organized by age and children are placed based on their birthdate. Class sizes at New Covenant have teacher-set ratios. This means that our teachers have input regarding the maximum number of children that are enrolled each day in their classrooms. We do this with the intention that we will be able to touch the heart and mind of every child, each day. Each day is structured in a format that we have found to be an ideal balance between independent play and hands-on academic lessons. The teachers strive to meet the needs of each individual learning style through our creative curriculum approach that implements Handwriting Without Tears™ and a center based learning environment.

Utilizing a Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment System, our teachers focus on 38 different learning domains and will assess every child twice a year in each focus area. Once assessments are complete, we offer parents an opportunity to meet personally with their teachers to receive feedback, ask questions and hear teacher goals.

Complementing our academic commitment, are a number of enrichment classes that compliment not only the educational side of early childhood development, but the social side as well. At New Covenant Lutheran School, we are committed to full circle early education, weaving together academics, the arts, physical education and the kindness that Jesus asked us all to share. Allowing our children to be exposed to many different types of learning and activities at an early age invites special talents to flourish and grow.
