Ms. Heather was born in Ontario, Canada and lived there before moving to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2008. She knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was five years old! In her teenage years, she worked at summer camps and at her church’s children’s programs. She completed her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Teacher Education from the University of London, Ontario.

Upon completion of her studies, she began her teaching career at a private Christian school where she taught elementary students. In the subsequent eight years, she taught at various levels of elementary school, in both regular and special education programs. Heather was raised in a Christian home and received Christ as her Savior at the age of nine. She loves Jesus and has been involved in various ministries during her adult life including church summer camp ministry, hospitality, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), Awana, Moms in Prayer Ministry and women’s Bible studies.

Ms. Heather was a room mom for many years, active PTO member and president, and Girl Scout Troop Leader. She has two precious daughters, aged 13 and 11. In her spare time she loves traveling, photography, playing tennis, and making memories with her children. She is also the author of, “The Goodbye Kiss.” Ms. Heather is thrilled to be working at New Covenant and is so happy to be a teacher in Pre-K.
